The Spanish shipbuilding leader Maessa (for Mantenimientos, Ayuda a la Explotacion y Servicios, S.A) chose BURO Club to lay the foundations of its French subsidiary. Led by Francisco Sanchez, it is now established in the office space solutions of Nantes’ business center.

Tell us about Maessa’s activities and its establishment in France...

Maessa is specialized in supporting operations and services for industry and construction. We started to expand our activities in France in the 2000s, but it’s only in 2015 that we chose to rent serviced offices here. It is a way of initiating a more continuous activity in the country.

Why did you choose Nantes’ business center?

Simply because we decided to provide our wide shipyard knowledge to Saint-Nazaire’s construction site, STX France. Nantes is close to this city while being bigger and more strategic geographically. We are opened to other opportunities in France, so it was an excellent reason to settle there. Up until that point, we had temporary offices on our work sites.

Why did you turn to BURO Club’s solutions?

Like any business manager, we pay attention to the costs of our facilities. In Spain, renting classical offices is easier. There is no need to engage in a limiting contract for at least three years, as it is the case in France. That was not what we were looking for. We appreciated the flexibility of BURO Club’s solutions. It is exactly what we needed. We first rented one office, and today we have two.
