Located in the department of Var (83) - south-east of France - the city of Puget-sur-Argens has now its own BURO Club business center. The place led by Gilles Clément opened its doors in November on the road of Vernèdes, between mountain and sea. This new center contributes to develop the French leader of the independent business centers’ network.
"We identified with BURO Club’s network", declares Gilles Clément. The manager of Puget-sur-Argens business center uses the "we" because – in the not so distant future – he’s going to work along with Valérie, his wife. "We made some research on what is done elsewhere, but from the first contact with Didier Coppi (sales, marketing and development director), we knew he was the right representative. He had the good approach", he adds. "With BURO Club, we benefit from a national influence while maintaining quality human relationships. The president, Frédéric Daty, is very easy to reach, for example. Just like Didier Coppi, who is very helpful with us", reports Gilles Clément, obviously satisfied with his choice.
The 128th BURO Club business center
Since November, Gilles Clément is at the head of the 128th BURO Club business center. More than a dozen of serviced offices, two meeting rooms and a coworking space are already receiving their first tenants, in the Center Azur building. This location is rather strategic. It is close to the A8 motorway and the national road 7, there is a bus stop 200 meters away and it is only 6 minutes from the city center by car. Another practical aspect: guests have free parking spots all around the place.
Gilles and Valérie Clément are really used to the building since they have been working there for several years. "I run a research unit there. My wife is the secretary-accountant of the company."
Flexible spaces for all
How did the couple become interested in the business center’s field? "It's a combination of circumstances", explains Gilles Clément. "We had a group of vacant offices in the building and we thought it was a pity. When talking with a friend, the subject of office spaces for rent came up. Turning these empty spaces into flexible solutions for all types of workers seemed to be very interesting."
After the validation of this initiative by BURO Club and some works launched at the end of August, here is Clément’s duo at the head of two activities. "It requires a reorganization of our schedules, but since we are on site for our other activity, it's not a problem. Also, compared to other centers, ours is a small structure (400 sqm). So it will be quite manageable for both of us."
BURO Club certified training
Do not believe that Gilles Clément became a business center leader without being prepared. With Valerie, who will soon join him, they were trained by BURO Club members. "We trained for several days. Didier Coppi taught us the theoretical part. Then we experienced the practical aspects by spending some time at Sophia Antipolis business center (06)", states Gilles Clément.
In this way, they have been able to concretely understand the different services offered by BURO Club, such as virtual offices, mail management and personalized reception. "We even had the chance to participate in our first business centers’ managers biannual meeting. It took place in November in Le Mans center, the 100th unit of BURO Club’s network. It has been very beneficial for us to interact with more experienced people than us as we are at the beginning of our adventure."
