Lille is not close to the sea and not particularly known for its sunshine. However, it is one of the top ten favorite cities of Parisian executives who aspire to change their daily lives. After Bordeaux, Nantes, Toulouse and Nice, it is among the metropolises they think of when it comes to enjoying a better quality of life (91%), a better work-life balance (67%) and a pleasant climate (48%). At BURO Club, we also have some good reasons to appreciate this unique city, which is also the prefecture of France’s Nord (North) department.

Lille European Metropolis (Métropole Européenne de Lille or MEL) is only one hour away from Paris by high-speed train. Consequently, while away from the capital, one doesn’t feel too far from it. The aforementioned MEL made up of 1.2 million inhabitants is the fourth largest city in France, after Paris, Lyon and Marseille. The metropolis is at the crossroads of several countries of the European Union and naturally, this also attracts many companies.

300,000 square meters of office spaces

The MEL has several sites of excellence, including Euralille, France’s 3rd largest business district located in the center of the metropolis, built in 1994. It is considered as the service sector’s showcase of Lille, which symbolizes its economic transformation towards financial, insurance, telecommunications, consulting and IT businesses. Euralille provides over 14,000 jobs spread over 300,000 m² of offices. It is also home to one of our two BURO Club business centers located in Lille, offering high-quality serviced offices, meeting rooms and virtual offices.

Euralille 3000

The Euralille district is one of the favorite destinations for business tourism. In the future, it should attract even more thanks to Euralille 3000, one of the main French urban projects, launched in October 2016. In a nutshell, this project will bring to life 140,000 m² of new office spaces, welcome 2500 new residents and create 7000 additional jobs. New housing and shops are also part of the plan.

Euralille 3000 aims at strengthening the power of this business district in France, but also to make the heart of the metropolis more user-friendly. The completion of the project is planned for 2025/2030. There’s still time to climb on the bandwagon and lay the foundations of your activity in the MEL, with BURO Club.
